Rhinestone Roundup -- 110th Strawberry Days in Glenwood Springs, CO

Glenwood Springs, CO (PRWEB) May 17, 2007 -- There's a lot of giddy-up in Glenwood Springs for the 110th Strawberry Days in Glenwood Springs, the oldest celebration in the west on June 15, 16 and 17, 2007. This year's retro-western theme is "Rhinestone Roundup" so there will be plenty of pretty cowgirls waving from the parade floats. Longstanding traditions include the crowning of Miss Strawberry Days and free ice cream and strawberries served to everyone in the park.

The festivities will be in Sayre Park, located at Grand Avenue and Hyland Park Drive, with lively music, favorite foods like funnel cakes and turkey legs, and a beer garden. Artisans selected to display their crafts go through a discriminating jury process to ensure high-quality goods. There will also be a carnival located at the American Warehouse Furniture parking lot in the Roaring Fork Marketplace on south Blake Avenue.

Railbenders play some real country music bent on rock-n-roll

Sunday, June 17
Earthbeat Children's Choir embraces a diverse group of children, in which the magic of music teaches and encourages participation
The Roaring Fork Old Time Celtic Mega Band -- a collection of 40 local professional and amateur musicians specializing in exciting, toe-tapping, old- time and Celtic dance music
Mack Bailey, a nationally acclaimed singer/songwriter with a spiritual, western sound
Sharla Jackson Band wraps up the festival with a powerful sound

Kidsfest Stage (throughout the festival)

Heart of the Rockies perform their own unique brand of down home, all-American acoustic music for people of all ages
The Magic of Chad Juros, a 19-year-old, self-taught professional magician and two-time cancer survivor and emergency brain surgery survivor
The Handsome Little Devils perform Las Vegas style juggling routines with chainsaws, bowling balls and torches
